I can see someone is using my stolen computer remotely. What's the best way to get it back?

I had logmein.com installed on my computer and see that someone is logging intom my computer. I see the IP adress and have given it to the cops, but they have done nothing with it. I have not logged in while they were using the computer, but if I get the chance, whats my best choice in order to find out information without the user knowing I'm watching?

Get a PI and have him track the IP address.  When he gets the address, go get your **** back!!!

Contact the investigations division at the police department and find out who has been assigned your stolen computer case.... then contact that followup detective with the information... your case is one of many assigned to him/her, but with workable leads it will get more importance than a "go nowhere, who dun-it case"..... The adage of  "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" applies, at that job as well as any other job..... Be courteous, but be firm insisting that the lead info is valid..... And assure them that you will go to court and prosecute the thief........ Don't waste their time if you won't........
