  1. because when hes bowling the ball is much much more far than when it hits the ground

    so thats the difference.

  2. That is because of the distance between you and the baller, and also because as soon as the ball hits the ground, the ball looses some of it's spin and this inturn makes it a little faster. Don't concentrate on the speed of the ball, just make sure you know where it is coming.

  3. When a ball pitches it does genrally slow down. (ie. when brett lee bowls the ball passes the batsmen at only about 120-130 but he lets it go at 140-150)

One answer I can provide it that if you play on a synthetic pitch then the ball could be skiding off the surface which makes it seem as if its getting faster. (this is because when the ball skids it does not bounce as high and thus it has to travel less of a distance in order to get to you and thus it appears to be reaching you quicker than what you may think)

  4. well actually the ball tends to occasionally slow down momentarily when it hits the ground and then almost suddnely reach its full pace again also the ball at that time is at a much closer proximity to you so it feels like it is coming faster. Just get in position earlier and it shouldnt trouble you
