Actually I'm getting this second hand from my husband who I have given the task of figuring it out. He used a fire wire to connect from the camera to the computer, so I'm guessing the computer is acting as a TV screen. Does that make any kind of sense?

  1. Can you provide some more details, please - I don't know how you're viewing a video on your PC without having saved it there first.

  2. You are probably missing a video capture program, which should be on the CD that came with the camera. If you misplaced the CD, try the manufacturers support site for your camcorder. They may have a free download available. Good luck!!

  3. Your camera came with software, he has probably already installed it, there should have been a capture program on that CD. Once the software is installed, you wouold open it, attach your camcorder in playback mode and select capture, actually when you attach your camera via firewire cord, the program should recognize your camera. Once you capture your video, then you can save and edit and burn it. We kind of need to know what program you are using, but all programs come with a handy help section. I use pinacle studio 11 ultimate, but you can use WMM that comes with windows XP.

I hope this is of some help to you.
