I canceled a disk defragment on my laptop, Is that bad?

It took too long so i canceled does that damage my laptop in anyway?

  2. Disk defrag breaks down and categorizes and categorizes files on your computer. Basicly think of cleaning your room. You stopped cleaning your room and its still a mess. Thats what happend to your computer. The End :D

  3. not at all.  the only thing that it will do is not defragment everything on your laptop.  you should let it complete the disk defragment when you have time to let it completely finish.  the reason it is taking so long is because there are probably a lot of fragmented files on it.  if you let it finish, the nest time you degfragment should not take as long.  do it at least one a month.
