I cannot delete files or

i cannot delete files or add files to my USB FLASH DRIVE 16GB TRANSCEND. Everytime i need to delete files or save, i keep getting the msg "THE DISK IS WRITE PROTECTED." I've only used a space of 1.55GB and have 13.6GB left. Pls help me. I have not been able to make amendments of my files for weeks now
