I cannot delete this file...

Question

hi, i had a problem with C , so i decided to delete the files and re-download them in a different place. But when i tried to delete it it did not work, it told me access was denied. I am on the main admin of this computer, so i know i can delete it. I also tried to delete it with cmd using the del command, but it still denied me access.

some files are windows protected.

so u may not be able to move or delete them.

second if you are using a program that uses the file it will not be deleted or moved.

also sometimes its a bug and just restart computer and try to delete it used to happen on my old comp.

try restarting the computer and try going to the control panel,

if its a program go to programs and features. double click on it and

search for the thing that you want to delete and double click on the thing that you want to be deleted and follow the directions as it shows.

then do your downloading thing.

you cant delete the files, because they are necessary files for your computer to run, and deleting them would result in a computer crash. if you want to fix it, partition your hard drive, and reinstall your operation system. XP and command prompt have ways to partition your hard drive.

try 'right click'..a drop down menu should appear to allow to delete, or perhaps 'property' option will appear, if so, click on properties, then delete. good luck, hope this works for you.
