I cannot finalise my disc on a seg dvdr500, or play it on my pc,please help!!?

if i record onto a dvd+r my player will not let me finalise, so i cannot play it or copy it within windows media player or any other program or that matter.

Answer 1

1.  dvd+r might not be the correct media.  Check the manual again.  

2.  with the disc in, turn off and on the machine.  try to finalize again.  This must be done to play on other "machines".
