I cannot find out a way to play my xbox 360 on my emerson tv i tried plugging in the cables and it didnt work?

i plugged in my cables and nothing worked i tried the back and the front of the tv what should i do?

If its not a hd tv make sure the hd switch is not on, on the av cable

There's a switch for the HD cables on the plug try those.

What kind of TV do you have?

One thing you may want to check is the switch on the XBOX  360 that switches it from HDTV signal to a regular TV signal. If you do not have a high-definition TV and your 360 is switched to the HDTV, you will not get a signal. This is probably the first thing you should check, especially if the power signal on the 360 is working but you're not getting a picture.

Is your 360 used or brand new? If it's used, then make sure your cables/plugs are fine. Also if you have pets, make sure they didn't chew on the cables. My cats and rabbit seem to be attracted to cables, and one of them chewed off the cord to my Wii sensor bar.

If all else fails, contact XBOX support.

on the cable that came w/ the xbox there is a little switch that says "TV/HDTV"...flick that switch, regardless of whether your TV is HD or not, then try it.
