8 GA. power wire

I also have a line input hooked up from my cd player to the amp. Is this correct? Or should I not do that?

  1. check your sub wiring in the box unscrew the connecters fron the box and check to make sure wire is connected to the postive and neg.

  2. your setup seems to be correct , try unpluging the line in and the woofer, the amp should be on, make sure that the only ground to the amp is from the ground wire, the amp body  should not touch any metal, also make sure that the the fuse for the battery cable is not blown and that the power wire is connected directly to the battery positive terminal . final check is for the remote wire to be plugged in correctly to the back of the stereo.

  3. you should use a larger cable for the sub. I usually recommend 14 gauge as a minimum. Other than that, everything looks sufficient.
