Yahoo was down last nite.

It still has glitches,

Hang in there until they get it resolved.

Frankly I find it inexcusable that Yahoo STILL doesn't have the decency/expertise to put a simple system status message somewhere, so that a forum such as this continues to be overwhelmed with people asking the same exact questions over and over again, or spending hours messing around with their own computers believing that they have an internal problem.

Power outages are NO EXCUSE. Look at the main Yahoo pages. If they can have up-to-date news items, they can have a simple sentence somewhere alerting customers that something is going on (upgrade, downtime, outage, whatever.)

perhaps something wrong with the provider, or something wrong with yahoo itself. Sometimes like that.
