I can play basketball pretty well. Good ball handling and I can shoot 3's, but I want to shoot better inside the arc but I just can't for some reason. Any suggestions/tips?

  1. Train, Train And Train

Try To Throw In Game with your friends and throw as much as you can

inside the arc (Try to reduce the power of your throw depending on the distance between you and the ring) You're like my brother and the

    opposite of me

i score every match 99% of my inside throws

    10% of my 3'pts throws.

  2. Your like Antoine Walker, back when people knew him. He was like draining ever 3 pointer he took but when he steps just a little bit in the arc he throws up the worst shots.

  3. practice.

  4. when shooting the ball. Bent your knees slightly, then release the ball with your shooting hand. Release it with your fingertips then with follow through. Don't Forget to jump as you unbent your knees. Practice that everyday. I promise you that you would shoot better from inside or outside the arc. Good luck!

  5. ok shooting style has something to do with it, but mostly depends on repitions. If you want to be able to shoot better, practice as much as possible. it'll get better

  6. try a set shot,, kinda like how stephen jackson does it,,  shoot the ball while just jumping a little,  maybe this vid will help..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHSguZbGK...

try doing that from midrange maybe that'll help,,,

  7. That is pretty weird... I had this big teammate a long time ago, he put so much power in his shots that if he tried to shoot a close shot it'd bounce off the backboard and not even touch the rim... Maybe lessen the power? You can always practice shooting 15 feet from the rim or shoot free throws.

  8. Are you shooting pull-ups? If thats the case, when you jump, let your arms naturally flow and the ball will softly come off your fingertips.. what i mean is just when you're reaching the tip of your jump your arms should be extending about to shoot, and release when you reach your apex... Or, maybe you are better shooting bank shots, like DWade or Tim Duncan, those are easier to shoot, but you have to shoot them even softer than a normal shot because the glass makes your rebounds harder... So yea, try an make your release natural instead of forcing or throwing the ball up there, and youll get great results
