I cannot open my email. I cannot open my email on my computer. I type in the ID then the password

I cannot open my email on my computer. I type in the ID then the password . The screen then returns to the samepage with the spaces for the ID and the password are blank.I have repeated this maybe a hundred times also on a different account. I have then gone to another computer and there I can open my emails. please advise
