have u tried swapping out the phone just to see if another telephone might works better! or is fax line connect to the line causing the noise. how about ur modem? process of elimination?

Do you have ADSL then you need a filter on your phone line about $20 go's only on your phone line

ummmm.............yeh.  call your provider.  see if they have any trouble shooting tips.

I hope you purchased insurace for about 2-5 bucks a month.   With that they come out for free and fix it... If not then i might cost you about 100-200 bucks

Go outside and find your box just follow the phone line from the pole to the house it has a phone jack in it the repair people use plug your phone into it if you don't have static then you have bad wire in house or check all lines in your house for the static plug phone into each one if you find one with no static then check other plugs for loose wire the red and green at top are the main wires to be tight
