I cannot remember the title of this movie whatsoever!?

If I remember correctly, this movie is about a guy on a talk show talking about how he got turned into a monster. As a monster, he was kept on a farm with other people that got turned into monsters. Eventually they escape and to change back into humans they have to eat macaroons. I believe it's from the 80s. I remember seeing it on TV as a kid... PLEASE help me think of this title! Everyone I ask, all my friends and coworkers, think I'm crazy!
