  1. Something is wrong with the Video portion of your cable setup....

Either a bad video cable or a bad output jack on your DVD or input jack on your TV set.....

So here is a quick way to divide and conquer the problem....

Do you have anything else connected to the video jacks on the back of your TV set that works?  If so, see if you can connect that device to the input you are using for your DVD player....just make sure it's the same TYPE of connector ...either the Yellow jack for low def video or the combination Red-green-blue video for the component jacks.

The GREEN connector is the most important one on component inputs, because it's the one that can mute the picture if no video is present on it....

So if you have a yellow only output, it can be used to check the component inputs too.....

Once you know your INPUT JACK does or does not work you can swap your DVD player to another jack/input and see if it works on that one....or not.

The BAD DEVICE will always provide a BAD PICTURE , and by trying your equipment on different inputs will determine if your TV is Bad, or your DVD is Bad or your Cable is bad.....

All you need is two different cables, and possibly another DVD / Game / VCR to verify what is bad.....or another TV

  2. you shoul check you video cable connected to your tv from you dvd player. its probably not connected or connected at wrong place or a wrong place in the dvd player (today dvd players have a million ports...) : )

  3. Check out the instruction kit. u may have changed the connection of the wires. if u dont get proper vision u just contact the respective authority

  4. Yellow plug not hooked up or plug in wrong port

  5. could be wrong setting in menu! ring lg customer support, they will help and they would know that particular machine better than anyone. could also be wrong color standard on disc, is it pal ,secam,or ntsc and what region! many possible problems ,but i find its mostly the simple things! like faulty cables or plugs in wrong place.
