  1. It is definitely an acquired taste.  If you have had s*x it is much easier and not such an odd concept of something being in there.  There are some women that have never and will never use them.  It's a little odd but not necessarily a bad thing.  You should never feel pressured to do anything with your body that  you aren't comfortable with.

I should also note that while there is a risk of TSS when wearing a tampon, the actual likelihood of getting it is minimal.  To even get it you have to wear the same tampon for over 24 hours and even then you won't definitely get it.  Also, there isn't an added risk of infection with using tampons. The tampons themselves are sterile, like a band-aid. You run the same risks with pads as you do with tampons in terms of infections.  Besides TSS, there are no health risks in using a tampon that aren't possible with pads.  All of those other things are old wives tales.

  2. Yes, but that's not necessarily bad.

  3. Im 20 + im the same!!

Oh well, Doubt anybody will force us to use one if we dont want too! :)

  4. No, I think it's good to be a little  bit particular about what goes up there!

  5. I don't think it's odd. Also I don't think the fact of having much s*x or not really affects it, I thought that way before when I was a virgin but not anymore.  I've been having a lot of s*x for 3 years now (I'm married, 21) and just thinking about putting that thing inside of me while I'm on my period...ough don't like it at all.  Like someone said above, better to let all that stuff just flow out of you.  You can try if you have to one day, but if you didn't like it at all after that don't use it again.

  6. I completely agree with you. I can't let the thought of sticking something into me. Besides, it's good that you're not using a tampon because it can give you TSS and lead to other things with misproper use and this doesn't make you odd in anyway.

  7. Why "can't" you use them?  Have you tried a properly sized tampon?  Like a slender light one like Tampax Pearl Lites?

    It doesn't make you odd.

I've worn tampons for 23 + years and I believe that they are more sanitary than pads.

  8. of course it doesn't make you odd... it's no big deal, no one HAS to use them, i have to say i'm not really into them myself, and i know people who refuse to even think about trying them

and it doesn't matter what your age is either, my mum didn't even use them!

so no, don't worry about it at all :) xx

  9. Doesn't make you odd honey! Everyone has their own preferences... I know some people who won't use them either. x

  10. You are not odd. I don't wear tampons either.

i really don't want to plug all that junk up there if you know what I mean. It can cause infection. I'd rather just let it flow out so I wear pads instead.

  11. Hi no that doesnt make you odd, I am exactly the same, I have tried and all they do is make me sore, and the first time I nearly passed out. I hate them and dont think I will ever be using them as there not good for your body anyways, Id rather have a pad on that use a tampon, there are to many health risks to them.

So I think you are not in the least bit odd. I am 21.

lol what has s*x or having children got to do with it, that doesnt make it any easier at all. lol infact it makes no difference I think you either like them or you dont. and there is nothing unhygenic with using a pad especally if you change it often just like you would a tampon.

  12. NO it doesn't make you odd. I've tried them but didn't like them so now I use sanitary towels. It's your body and it's up to you x

  13. No not at all i dont use them either its better for you to use pads becuase you dont have the blood clogged up!

  14. It doesn't make you odd, I don't think.  To each their own.  I have been using tampons since I was 13.  I like that I can work out, go swimming, and be active without having a bloody piece of fabric stuck between my legs.  I found it uncomfortable and kind of gross to use pads and only used them for a few months after I started my period.

Tampons just seem more sanitary and regardless of what people say on here, I have been using them for 13 years and I have never had an infection or TSS.  The only people that kind of stuff happens to are the women who do not change them frequently or who use them when they are not on their period.

I would say that if you are sexually active and especially if you have children, then I don't see why you wouldn't want to use tampons, but like I said, to each their own.

  15. I'm seventeen and I can't, either. Something about inanimate objects in my vag gives me the heebiejeebies.

  16. i have a friend who has the same problem so your not odd just try and if you hate them dont use them hope this helps x

  17. No , not at all.

  18. i dont like the thought of them either- youre not alone
