1. go steal the money back.

  2. Get a student loan, and ask for a loan from your parents. If you have a free community college, try that till you get enough money. In the mean time work as much as possible, so if you have to wait to start college, you will already be starting to save money.

  3. maybe you skip a semester. you could also contact the oppropriate government offices and inquire about your loans

  4. Isn't there a number you can call to check on the status of your loan application? There should be something in the works by now!

Wait a minute....you just updated so my previous posting means nothing.

You lost the form...so you HAVEN'T EVEN APPLIED YET?

Oh my gawd. If you don't have the application in, how can you expect to hear from the gov't about the loans??

Maybe the financial aid office can help you out by faxing your info in and seeing if they can rush things along. Or maybe they have a hardship fund that can help you out....I don't know. Did you report the theft of your money to the police at least, so you have proof that you earned something that was stolen?

Aside from help from the FA office, I don't think you have a chance here. You might not be going to school this term.

    Sorry.

  5. talk to the school about it.

they should provide you with financial aid.

  6. there should be a financial aide office at the school - go there, don't dress sloppy, but a suit is not appropriate either.

start looking for scholarships for next term - there are all kinds of them online - google scholarships + your major and scholarships + your school.

  7. Make an appointment to see someone in the financial aid office asap. They can check online to find out about your loan application status. Explain the circumstances you're in. It actually only takes about a week when you apply online to find out how much you'll be getting. Don't worry about the due date. It isn't actually due until early October.

    Bon Chance!

    P.S. I'm a Canadian too.

  8. If you find out before tuition is due that you are getting your loan for sure, but you won't have the loan money on time, you can safely get a cash advance on a credit card to pay the loan, and then pay that off as soon as the loan money comes in. If it's just a few days, you may end up paying no interest at all. Worked for me.

Also, one year when Ontario student loans came in late, the school even gave students a couple days extra time to pay their tuition. It's possible they may give you a grace period or something if they know what's going on with your loan situation. I'd be on the phone with the school's financial aid office about it tomorrow if I were you.

And this website looks like it could be useful to you, if you haven't found it already: http://www.afe.gouv.qc.ca/en/

Time to get organized and take control.

  9. I guess you are not going to college eh?

  10. you can see if any one needs anyone babysat.. they make alot of money... ha ha soo hope this helped and like can you see if you could answer my ?

  11. go to the school tomorrow when it opens. Talk to a financial aid person. They deal with students everyday and can help you. Ask them what are your options. There are work programs at most schools that will let you work and pay on your tuition. The school can give you advice. That is their job. Good luck!!
