I cant afford to pay my hospital bill, any advice?

I had insurance but they covered like 1/3 and now I owe apprx. 1300 in medical bills!

  1. Call the hospital and set up a monthly payment.  Even this its only 10 or 20 dollars a month, they'll take it.


  2. Contact the hospital and work out a payment plan. They're usually pretty cooperative if they think they're going to eventually get paid over time.

  3. Set up a payment plan with the hospital.  Get a second job.  $1300 is PEANUTS.  I owed $6,000 to the hospital at a time that my paycheck was $1,300 for 2 weeks. Paid it all off within a couple of years.

    However, if you are indigent or have become disabled, you can advise the hospital of this and your bill will be paid by state funds.

  4. You can go to a rodeo and stand under the bleachers and collect the money that falls out of the pockes of the rodeo watchers.

  5. Call the hospital, explain your situation, and ask them to work out a payment plan with you.  Hospitals do payment plans all of the time.  It will be fine.
