I cant connect my video camera panasonic-dx-110 to my hp d530 pc using firewire?

i cant connect my video camera panasonic-dx-110 to my hp d530 pc using firewire. nothing appears i used 2 different capture cards and still nothing,the programmes i use for capturing are,adobe,pinnacle studio plus 11 and windows movie maker,plss help

Just insert the finalized miniDVD disc into the pc drive. Video files are in .vob format w/c is not largely supported by video editing apps. Rip the dvd thru Prism, DvD Ripper or what.
