I cant connect through wireless LAN. what is wrong?

i have a newly installed windows XP professional (service pack 2). i havent fully updated through windows update.

i tried setting up a wireless LAN connection but i guess im not doing right.

how do i do it? instruction or webpage is appreciated. For your information i was able to comfortably connect to a public wireless connection before i installed XP pro. back then i was on Home Edition.

make sure ur workgroup name is the same as the wireless system

right click on my computer

click on properties

click on computer name

change ur workgroup

just make sure ur computers and the others have the same workgroup name and ur done

Hi,

you need to update the WLAN drivers, right click your desktop > properties > hardware > network adapters then double click the WLAN adapter and click update. hope this works O.K
