  1. you ask dad instead of mom yet?

  2. Pro: Fun

    Con: Big responsibility

  3. Tell her would you rather have me get a dog. Then beg her for a dog for like a week and then she'll see that a hamster isn't that bad of a idea.

  4. Well for starters, how about trying the following:

#1 Cleaning your room and making sure that it STAYS clean and tidy.

#2 Making sure that your homework is done and handed in on time.

#3 Sweep the floors in the living room and kitchen without your parents asking you to.

#4 Wash and/or dry the dishes.

#5 Do not fight and argue with your sisters & brothers.

#6 Eat what you are given and don't whine or make "yuck" faces when given it.

#7 Don't talk rudly to adults

#8  Always share with other kids.

#9 Go to bed when you are told to.

#10 Research the pet and breed you want to be 100% certain that it is the right one for you.

    # 11 Ask them about getting this new pet in a nice way and don't beg and whine about it.

I’m 100% sure that if you give those a try, they will see that you are serious about wanting to add a this pet to your life and family. :)

  5. pros: they don't have tails like mice, that's the only reason I am aloud a hamster, my mom hates rodents but she actually did like my russian dwarf hamster because he was so little and very cute.  They are fun to watch.  You only have to clean the cage once a week to keep it clean.

Cons:  I honestly can't really think of any other than the 5 minutes out of your day that it takes once a week to clean the cage.

  6. Are you ready for this commitment? This will be a 2yr commitment. You have to make sure you can find a nice place for them in the house where they will not easily disturb you nor will you disturb them when they sleep (during the day). Have you done research on them? Will you be able to afford a decent size cage? Will you be able to afford their food, treats, toys and anything else they will need, including possibly vet bills. Don't forget this is your responsibility, not your mother's. Will you be willing to clean the cage 1-2x/week? Will you handle the hamster? Will you not get bored after you've had for a month or less? What will happen when you leave for school, vacation? Who will take care of your hamster then? You cannot leave them alone for a full weekend, you have to make sure they have enough food and water because their sugar level can decrease quite rapidly. Please make sure you can answer all the questions before getting one.

  7. PROS:

Hamsters don't need to go outside to go to the bathroom

They can stay in one room (your room?)

    They're small and look cute

    Friendly

Don't smell if you clean their house often

Don't have long tails like rats

    PRO/CON:

    They don't live very long

    CONS:

    They can't do any tricks

They basically just need you for food and a clean house

  8. Pros: Fun, and less money then a dog would cost.

Cons: Only live for a few years. They smell a little.

  9. PROS- Sweet . Friendly (when tamed), Look cute, Not as big as a dog,Not as expensive, and Don't shed

CONS- Have to clean cage or it will stink, Sleep all day, If not tamed will bite.

Also tell her if she doesn''t like them becuase she thinks rodents are dirty then tell her that actually hmsters are really clean most of the time it's the cage that stinks and they don't need to be bathed so thats good.
