  1. i currently own a Fender Bassman 250 (it's a bass amp). It has a 15 inch speaker and a tweeter. If I just had a bass amp with the speaker, it'd only sound good with bass guitar. But since it has a tweeter, it brings out the highs (treble), allowing me to play acoustic guitar and electric guitar on it. The acoustic sounds really nice on it.

You can get away with playing electric guitar on a nice bass amp, but you can't play bass on a guitar amp. it won't give you a deep bass sound and you'll blow a speaker eventually.

if you can, i'd recommend always owning at least one acoustic guitar, one electric, and one bass. not everyone can, but if you have the opportunity to, keep your bass and acoustic and save for your electric.

i sold one of my first bass guitar and regretted it a month later, so i bought another bass guitar.

  2. I recommend you to stick to your Bass guitar and go and see a way to get an amp. guitar is great as well, but bass is more artistic and profound. think well about it, it's just the beating heart of the rhythm and the harmony, it groups the sounds all together and facilitates the transmission between all other instruments. think about the harmony that Bass brings, it's just so groove, so smooth and dynamic. I'm a pro keyboardist and i just love what bass does, and the way it interferes with the keys.

    Good luck.
