I cant delete a file on my desktop! it says its not found! ive tried a bunch of programs to delete it...?

but they wont work!!! ive also tried safe mode...and command prompt....but it still wont delete!! somebody PLEASEEE help me!!!

What happens when you right click the file? Does it show the properties?  What type of file is it? A folder?

Last thing I can suggest is to run a registry cleaner, not sure of the names of any free ones, but I use registry mechanic...

did you try using your add/remove programs??? I have seen that sometimes you can remove a program but the icon stays on your desktop. If this isnt the case the next thing I would suggest if you are bound and determined you dont want this on your computer ,,,,,is this

try the free download if you cant find anything else that works I would exhaust all other options short of wiping your hard drive before I tried the file shredder but do this before you reinstall your operating system
