I cant download Windows XP Service Pack 2?

Yes, i know its kinda late to say it seeing as SP3 is out but still, i start the download and it goes up to checking product key then my laptop just freezes...Tryed it like 3 times

1.When you PC starts, keep tapping your F8 key on the keyboard.

2.Advance boot menu will come up.Choose safe mode with networking.

3.Login as your account name.

4.Download Sevice Pack2 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...

It will take some time to get it download.

5.After complete download, initiate the installation from there itself.

If you cannot download the updates manually, turn on the automatic updates and let the computer update itself when its ready.

Your Product Key could be invalid.

Sounds like a software problem.

If you install Service Pack 3 you do not need to install Service Pack 2.
