  1. update to service pack 2 but not service pack 3 and then go to msn and open it up. At the top, you should see files, contacts etc... You will need help, under help, click on service status and then click upgrade and then find the operation system you are running and then click where it says click here and then try downloading it again from msn though, don't go else where to find msn to download, you don't want to spend time finding it.

  2. Do you have windows XP? if yes  check if you have service pack 1   or  2?

if you have  service pack 1  then download  service pack 2

right hand click My Computer Icon  then click property then read which service pack you have

  3. Windows Live Messenger is the new re-branded MSN. Download it for free here -

It's pretty cool and has a nice clean and glassy interface. It's also got alot of features. More than the old MSN.

To start with Windows Live Messenger, just download it and then once installed you just need to type in your email address and password and you're on!

  4. try downloading it from somewhere else.

  5. Re-Downloading would help. Here is a direct link you can download:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/1...

  6. Try reinstalling again.

  7. In a nutshell it means that the msn.exe file you have downloaded is corrupted, delete it & download it again.
