today i went to motherhood maternity, i got three shirts.

but most the clothes i seen there were sooo ugly, but i just settled for alright ones. also, i didn't fit any of their jeans, they are all wayyy to big, and baggy. alot of the shirts were to small for me too, but i found some that fit. the length fit, but my belly just isn't big enough yet. i'm 28 weeks today. where did you find maternity jeans, and clothes that looked good and fitted??

i'm 5'3 and i currently weigh 120, so i don't need petite clothes, the length fit fine, some shirts were even too short, but mostly i need to find jeans that aren't baggy. i still fit into my normal jeans, but they are getting uncomfortable, and i only own two pares.

  1. You could do what I did . I am going into 38 weeks and still not wearing maternity clothes ( my starting weight was 127lbs 5'6" and have only gained 19lbs . I REFUSED to buy maternity because they were ugly and matronly looking . I purchased all my clothes in the Jr section at either Walmart or Target and went up a size in shorts from a 4/5 to 7 which still fit VERY comfortably at this late in pregnancy . As far as shirts everything is " baby doll " so I just went up to a medium or large junior.  As far as jeans you could go up a size and or get a bella band :) .

I'm with you though that maternity clothes are ugly and just because we are pregnant doesn't mean we cant be cute :)

    Good luck :)

  2. They have nice clothing for pregnant  girls in Target

  3. Buy a bella band!  They allow you to wear your old pants unbuttoned/zipped and cover/hold them up.  For a $30 investment you can wear all your old pants, or at least until third trimester.

  4. Oh you are still small. You probably can just wear your same clothes with the pants unbuttoned. That's what I do! I haven't found too many pairs of pants so I just wear my old ones. I went to Ross and bought some nice maternity tops and shorts.

  5. What I was able to do my first pregnancy was take a rubber band/hair tie and loop it around my button hole in my jeans.  Then take the other end and hook it around my button.  Wear a long shirt and no one will know.  I was able to get by with that until my 8th month then i exploded and had to wear actual maternity clothes.  If you pants don't fit now try a size or two up.  They will come in handy after the baby comes before you can get down to your pre-pregnancy size.

  6. I would not know sory!
