What else isn't showing?  Are you getting anything?

Are you online?  Connected to the Internet?  

Reboot your computer and connect to the Internet and try again

That command has to show you the DNS entry. The only way it wouldn't is if you have no IP address at all (like your computer could not find the dhcp server).

The other way to find it (and set it) is to go into the properties of your network connection and select the properties of the tcp/ip. Go into control panel to find your network connection (or local area network connection).
