I can't find my password

I can't find my password for my computer I have a Macintosh. Without my passwore I can not download any updates for my system.My system is OS X 10.4.6 and I need to update as I am having problems with AOL. My e-mail is larfloy@aol.com Thanks for any help you can give me.
