There are several places to go to find freecycling websites.  Other answers have pointed you to The Freecycle Network, but if they do not operate in your area then check out the Freesharing or Reuseit websites which also have comprehensive lists.

The exchange groups are yahoo groups, once you join you can view messages on the site, or receive emails.

The best way to find the groups are through the main freecycle site http://uk.freecycle.org/ and click on the link 'find and subscribe to your nearest local UK group' then click on the map for links to your nearest yahoo freecycle group.

I think that you are looking for the Yahoo freecycle. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com (alternatively you can go to the yahoo home page and click on groups.

From there you can carry out a search. For example if you type in 'freecycle cardiff' you get links to the yahoo freecycle groups that serve cardiff and the surrounding areas.
