I cant find the vin for my scooter?

its a 50cc scooter with plastic covering all over it . i can take it off but where is a good place to start looking for it thanksI

This is a reply to Richard's answer - for the record, a moped is a 'motor-driven pedacycle' meaning that it has pedals.  Scooters, on the other hand, do not have pedals.  Here, we are talking about a scooter.

The VIN number will be on the frame somewhere.  On mine, it is engraved on the part of the frame that leads up to the handlebar where your knees would be behind a pop-off plastic piece.  Just look anywhere on the frame or for any labeling on the plastic that will indicate that its marked behind.
