  1. you must of missed practicing. that's one thing you shouldn't space out on.. the more you practice the more better. you will make it..

  2. Well start 2 feet away from the net and everytime u can get it over step back but if u dont stay in that same spot until u get it over 3 times

  3. Do plenty of push-ups to build decent arm muscle.

When you practice CUP your hands, don't hit the ball with your fingers open like you're smacking it.

When you CUP your hand, make it curved so that it fits with the ball.  It should also have more power when you cup instead of using an open handed smack.

Cupping = Keeping your fingers touching, curved slightly as if you're trying to hold water/drink water...

And when you hit the ball, aim upwards but not TOO high...

Hit the ball with as much power as you can in that split second at a 45 degree angle or higher.

  4. Why don't you draw a line on your wall (with a pencil but noticable) high enough to be a net, and practice serving it up against the wall (but not to hard). It's what i did when i couldn't get my serves right.

  5. Strengthen your core muscles and ensure you have soild balance when you strike the ball.  It helps to drag your right foot behind you (if you are right handed) and snap THROUGH the ball at the equator (if the ball was the world) and follow through.

  6. I worked on my serve all summer last year to get it decent & now it's unbeatable, so don't give up just get your toss high, keep your hand firm & fingers spread & LOTS of practice

  7. Practice and talk to your coach to see if there is a problem with your technique. If you are doing it overhand, use the heel of your palm and push slightly upwards.

  8. Practice with your coach.Make sure your arm is comepletely extended when the ball comes in contact with your hand

  9. umm....throw the ball up in the air 10 times and catch it and when it comes back down pretend u r going to hit it and after u get done with 10 of them then try serving the ball....that is what i did all the time in volleyball season and i got it over finally

  10. DO NOT "PUSH IT UPWARDS" that will make it rainbow so that it lands right in the net. what you do is you take a step with your left foot and then throw the ball into the air with your left hand [if you're a righty] and in a swimming motion, bring your right hand forward to hit the ball with the heel of your palm and bring your left hand back down to give it power. p.s. you have to spread your fingers and make them rigid or it wont go in the right direction and you won't have enough power. and the other girl said to cup your hands. don't do that. that is the easiest way to break your fingers. it won't go over the net either..actually it wont go five feet away from you.

  11. Its all about the toss... it needs to be high and in front of you. Try throwing it up a couple times and watch where it lands. Make sure its a little to the right (if ur a righty)

It definitely takes lots of practice to get a perfect serve.
