I cant get my wireless internet to work?

I had it working a couple months ago but then I went away for a week and when I came back it stopped working. I have my D-link hooked up to a Lynksis 4-Port Router that is hooked up to my actual internet.

So when I take the internet cord(whatever you call it) and plug it in to the router and then the dlink wireless internet it doesn't work. But when I plug that same cord into my lap top it does.

I really dont want to have to re-download it onto my computer because I've already gone through all of that.

Any suggestions??? Thank you.

  1. If you're on a lap top, then there should be a little switch somewhere on the lap top. It may have a little wireless picture on it. Make sure that is switched on, then see if it works.

  2. You shouldint be using two router's one within the other so ditch one and use the one that can do both 4 ethernet ports on the back and wireless. thats one of the problems the other is that whilst you were away someone may have tapped in and skrewed with some settings... so what you want to do is reset the wireless router then go into its administrative settings then secure your wireless signal and then change your router's password.
