I cant get the front tire on my bmx bike

Question

i just got a new bmx bike from danscomp.com and earlier today when i was trying to put the front tire on i noticed that the forks were too close and the tire wouldnt fit between them how to i get the tire on?

Hmmm. They only thing I can think of is to put it on the forks and then fill it with air. That's kind of obvious though, and I'm sure you already thought of that.

This is pretty common.   If the wheel is just a hair too wide for the fork then you can just push the wheel on. Many forks tend to be a tiny bit different then the hub, but after you do the initial installation the wheel will fit fine.  If the hub is way too wide (1/4" or more), your hub might need to be tightened.  If this needs to be done (I highly doubt it since it is a new part) all you need to do is tighten the bolts that are threaded onto the axle, the little rubber seals may need to be removed if it is a loose ball hub.  However, I think tightening the bearings should not be neccisary at all for you new bike.

Are there spacers on the axel or something? Your front wheel should fit fine on your new bike. What kind of bike is it and explain exactally what the deal is, im sure I can help.
