I cant hold my hamster?

She used to be so sweet when I would hold her and now she freaks out!shes used to my scent because she lets me hand feed her and i pet her in my cage all the time i say her name alot (snowball)so shes used to my voice.I put her in my bath tub today and closed the hole and everything.I finally scooped her up softly and she just ran of my hand!she didnt get hurt because i was right by the bath tub.she was running so fast.I really want my hamster to be calm and sit in my hand without freaking out and run.also i dont want her to bite me.please help thanks.

I doubt you'll be able to get her to stay still in your hand unless she's really tired. It would be better (and safer for her) if you put her on your hand and kept putting your hand in front of your other hand and so on so she'll still be able to move. Also, I'd consider getting a hamster ball so she can run around and you can hold the hamster ball and be close to her!

well hamsters dont like to be held still. it makes them feel insecure,when you let it run around it feels secure. also it may be the bath

They are scared because they arent held on to, just sitting in yourhand isnt safe for them anyway. They could get seriously hurt like one of ours did, she broke her hip and it lost feeling and it all went down hill from there...

Please only hold it like with your hand and put you hand around it, she will feel a whole lot more safe then free standing on your hand in mid air!!
