  1. Add/remove programs

  2. Go to your Add/Remove programs in Control panel and see if there is already an older version installed. Get rid of it, and then try installing Adobe Reader 8 again.

Alternatively, you can try Foxit Reader instead -- it starts up much faster than Adobe Reader:

  3. http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCont...

    hope it helps

  4. Try removing the old version first.

  5. It's an error in the registry according to Adobe's KB.

Run this utility as an administrator:

  6. You should use "Foxit PDF Reader" to replace "acrobat reader".

please view this link for informations & download:

    http://www.download.com/Foxit-PDF-Reader...

    or download from homepage:

  7. It is a Adobe Glitch, do this to download

When you try to down load and get the "Getplus(R)" error, just close out the error window

Then on the left side you will see the following

Thank you. Your download will start automatically.

If it does not start, click here to download

Now click the "Click to download" in blue letters

    It should download now

  8. You can resolve this issue by downloading and running the KB404307 Utility - link to download provided below:

    http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/ac...

Once this is done you should be abe to continue.
