I cant install my sims 2 pets i have sims upto open for business?

when i insert the CD into the rom.. it displays the autorun. but after i click it nothing happens.

im not sure... maybe try uninstalling the sims open for business or the sims 2 pets ?? Sorry im not sure. I know that with sims1 there was an order in which to install the expansions but i dont think there is for sims 2, but i guess you could try installing them in the order in which they came out??

Only thing I can offer is clean your CD/DVD drive.  Get a laser lens cleaner someplace and run it four or five times then try again.  People always think about the CD itself being scratched and totally forget about the drive.  They do get dirty from just the dust in the house.  The lens cleaner has tiny brushes the will safely clean the lens without scratching it.  Please don't try to clean it with a q-tip or anything like alcohol, you will just end up having to buy a new drive.  Also it doesn't hurt to buy a can of air and blow the computer out now and then.

my boyfriend bought me the sims 2 pets expansion last time but i never bother to install it.i'm afraid my laptop can't handle anymore games.try the steps in this link.try install your game in safemode.if the manual installation still doesn't work,try exchange you cds.
