I cant nslookup my domain using the localhost even using dig?

Question

I have a server that im woking on, all of a sudden that i cant nslookup to my site using localhost or its ip

can anyone help...im using linux version

You need a fully working DNS server as authoritative for your domain before this will work. If your dns is incorrect, or is not running you get no localhost information. Also if running a local dns, do NOT let it show on the internet unless you are a recognised dns sever. To do so can get you turned off instantly.
