Why not take drama, then do after school lessons at a music shop? Best of both worlds minus the stinky 7th graders!

To be honest, playing cello in the school orchestra isn't all that fulfilling. You should try taking private lessons outside of school. Trust me, you can learn so much more and play so much better. Because the school orchestras have so many students, it's hard for the teacher to really concentrate on one student and focus on playing technique.

You should do drama class in school if you're going to learn cello with a private teacher. Then, you'd be able to tell colleges you had two extracurriculars, instead of just cello.
