  1. Frosted mini wheats can help.......Blockages can cause constipation..

  2. 1 word: Benefiber! Can mix with anything, safe to take everyday.

I have to be careful not to eat too many dates or dried apricots. They'll keep me in the bathroom all day. You could try them. Drink a lot of apple juice. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water.

Explain this very undesirable side effect to your doctor. Maybe he/she can change or adjust your prescription.

    Good luck!

  3. I treat many patients and notice that their bowel function improves dramatically with Chiropractic care.

I just treated a guy who has pooped every 3-4 days (at best) his whole life!  And that's with laxatives.

I treated him twice, he's now having a BM every day (at least a small one) which he finds amazing.

He didn't believe anything I told him and was very sceptical so you can't say it was any placebo effect.

  4. Go to an asain shop and get diet green tea, drink before you go to bed i bet i will see another question up here soon saying HELP ME I p**p TOO MUCH ....lol

  5. why are you on diet pills?

They really should only be used for the morbidly obese under very controlled conditions.

  6. not drinking enough water

gluten such as wheat, semolina noodles, or oats

for some people, raw veggies "roughage" hard to digest fiber

    not exercising enough

eating too many refined carbs/processed sugars

not eating enough oils/fats (good fats in moderation are good)

some people find that nuts can be constipating

    too few/too large of meals

    caffeine and alcohol

please lay off of the pills. laxatives are not good. I've been there, but I don't think you should take any pills unless your life depends on it!

  7. Diet pills are NOT good for you. The only way to lose weight is to eat a healthy diet and exercise.

Laxatives are also NOT good for your health and in regular doses can actually be really bad for your health.

Although I am sure you must have realised this by now.........

Bit confused by your question, you ask.... “what are some natural causes of chronic constipation” – well the diet pills, laxatives and processed coffee would be contributing but they aren’t classed as natural are they.

Natural ways to have easy bowel movements include:

Drink 1 – 2 litres of room temperature pure filtered water everyday.

Eat plenty of natural roughage daily – fibrous fresh fruit and vegetables.

Limit your meat, dairy, refined sugar and processed flour intake

Get regular well formed stools by eating Chia Seeds. You soak seeds to make a gel and then add the gel to smoothies, juices etc...Chia Seeds also assist with weight loss.

Flax seeds also help you to stay regular

You need to do these things on a regular daily basis, not just when you are blocked.

    .

  8. What you need and the best way to get "regular" again is simply to eat more fiber - 20 to 35 grams a day. Fiber absorbs water and makes your stool softer and larger, which speeds it through your system. You need more fluids to cope with all that fiber. Drink more water. Meanwhile do not forget about exercise, it can help keep things moving.

Start your day with a high-fiber bran cereal. Or you can add bran or Metamucil fiber to the water you drink every morning before you eat anything.

Fill up on cooked dried beans, prunes, figs and oatmeal. All are rich in soluble fiber, which helps to soften stool.

The most common reason for constipation is because you lack fiber or water in your diet. There are other possible causes, such as lack of exercise, using laxatives or enemas too often, and health conditions such as diabetes, hypothroidism, severe depression, or irritable bowel syndrome.

Obviously according to your introduction your problem has several causes. Have you ever tried psyllium or flaxseeds?

They are all rich in fiber.

    1. Mix one or two teaspoons psyllium seeds into a cup of hot water. Let it sit for two hours, add lemon and honey to taste, then drink.

    2. Take 1 tablespoon of the ground seeds, which are sold in health-food stores, two or three times a day.

Wish you recover soon. Solve this problem as soon as possible since chronic constipation can cause other illnesses.

  9. Get off the d**n pills for starters! There are more natural ways to lose weight that won't damage your insides at the same time. You can put a bandaid on this issue all you want with home remedies and other cures, but the main problem is still going to be there underneath it all. You are putting yourself in danger while trying to achieve your "perfect body" goal.

For right now, I would try drinking lots of water, magnesium suppliments (not the ones that come all together in one-a-day vitamins, but the ones that are made from only magnesium), try using a fiber supplement, such as oat bran, Metamucil, Konsyl or Citrucel. These natural supplements help make stools softer and are safe to use every day.
