I can't put my vax vacuum cleaner back together

I have a vax - an orange wet and dry one - and my kids have pulled it apart. I don't know how to put it together. There is the base, a circular ornage piece that looks like it has pie pieces cut from it, a calico type cloth, a gray seal (rubber and then the top bit with the motor in it.
