Does anyone know what I can claim and what im entitled to? Thanks

  1. Do some research on the internet.  But, I would let them no asap, so they have enough time to replace you.  Good Luck!

  2. In all seriousness, you could try for welfare or food stamps.

  3. There are no benefits that you can claim unless you are disabled. You are resigning, so Unemployment does not apply.

But does your baby have health insurance? That is something you will have to consider. Medicaid will not give you any additional income but if you or your boyfriend does not have coverage that the baby can be(or is) covered under, at least you won't have to worry about that.

  4. i don't know what kind of hours you have at your job but if you work "daycare" hours mostly meaning monday thru friday days, then you could look into getting daycare vouchers which  make daycare more affordable.  I found out about this after my divorce and it made it possible for me to work full time days M-F, have 3 kids in daycare for just $100 a week!  granted i was only taking home $400 after the daycare cost, but it was better than welfare so I was happy enough with it.  The vouchers are based on your income.

but if that doesn't work for you there are of course, welfare, food stamps, fuel assistance, wic, state health insurance, here it is called mass health.

    good luck..

  5. You could find another part-time job or work from home.

  6. do you live in the united states? if you don't return to work you can by law be required to pay back any maternity benefit payments you received while you were off work so you may want to check into that.

  7. daycare for baby so you can work or, unemployment insurance benefits, welfare, babysitting at home...family to watch baby for you..

  8. I am due in early October and am not going to be able to come back to work due to the cost of day care. My employer doesnt offer maternity leave, I have to use FMLA, which does not provide pay.

Theres nothing you can really do as far as claiming anything. The only thing you are really entitled to is COBRA, which would only continue your health care for up to 18 months, but at 100% of your own cost. You can try to collect unemployment and apply for government assistance. I plan to either look for work at home opportunities or work part time in the evenings after he gets home. We dont qualify for gov. asst. due to his income, and it will be a struggle, but its do-able.

I will tell you as I tell him all the time; people do it everyday with less than us and they make it work. You will too!! Good luck and to find out info for gov. asst. in your area, look in the government pages of your local phone book.
