I cant see his face ever!!! Who do you think that he is???

So I dream every single night. Most of the time I will usaully see my best guy friend and he will either act as my boyfriend and protect me or be a jerk and make me mad but anyways every once in a while there is a guy and he will come up and grab me from behind and just hold me. I feel so protected when he is there. But I never see his face I can only see up to his chin at the most ever. Its like MAN I WANT TO SEE WHO YOU ARE!!! but I never do. Who do you think that it is?

The mysterious man from behind seems to be the man you'd like for your 'best guy friend' to be.

You have described a distinct lack of consistency in your 'best' guy friend - at times he protects, at others he's a jerk.  You do seem to like him however, if not his sometimes errant behavior.

What to do?  You cannot feel totally secure with someone who runs hot and cold, no matter how much you do like them.  It seems then to be this desire for that feature that brings this mysterious fellow in behind you to protect - he's the one who is truly consistent and protective of you.

But you cannot see him so you cannot know who it is.  This fits that his behavior is not that of your 'best' guy friend's - you cannot directly tie your 'best' guy friend's face into this, although that's likely whose face you'd really like to find there.  You also really don't likely wish to have this 'best' guy friend displaced - but would desire for some of his bahavior to be made to leave.  Not wishing HIM to be gone is one more reason for the face to remain hidden - no threat to the one you do care about.

You would have to decide how this fits, but if you find your relationship a bit wanting for these reasons and value it, consider discussing it with your 'best'.  If he cares as much as you he would want to work on being closer.  There's risk of course - but so is there in letting things go on.  

That great but unseen character is not likely to show up as in the dream - and this 'best' guy either has it in him to come around or does not.  If not you may need to thing of moving on by taking a chance on seeing the face of another who may be of more comfort to you.

Your dreaming of this best guy friend and probably how he acts toward you now as you are friends.  Then there is this guy who you feel but don't see and you know he is the one you want to be with.  Well the way you describe this it is telling me that the two guys that you and I described are the same person.  You are best friends with this guy and for some reason you aren't his boyfriend because you aren't ready or he isn't ready or there could be a billion different reasons, some reason that is keeping you from seeing this guy friend as your boyfriend when this is truly what you want whether you have explored those thoughts within yourself or not.
