I cant sleep, are there any ways to get to sleep when i want to?

help me.. what are some tips that could help me get to sleep faster?

  1. Try drinking milk or eating rice before going to bed, both contain melatonin, a natural sleeping aid, which help you sleep better. From http://nosleep.in

  3. 1.you can lay down in  your bed. Uh get comfortable but have your eyes closed. Once you get comfortable don't move stay in the comfy position and relax your mind.

    2. I know this sounds kiddie like but you can always read before going to bed you might get drowsy, you might not. But maybe it'll help

  5. try to just close your eyes super tight. don't think about dreaming or anything. just picture yourself sleeping their with your eyes closed. sounds weird but it works for meeeeee :)

  6. Try playing music or leaving the TV on. Some people need background noise to clear their head. Also try exercising or being active to bring your energy level down so you can relax more at night. Don't eat, play games, or talk too much before going to bed - they tend to stimulate your thinking and keep you from relaxing.

  7. Get yourself on a routine, read before bed, exert your energy throughout the day, no caffeine in the evening (or earlier), don't go to bed starving, don't go to bed overly full, wake up early, drink some caffeine free hot tea before bed...

    Once you start whatever ritual works for you, you'll find it easier to fall asleep.  I have also heard not to FORCE yourself to sleep if you can't.  I think waking up early is the best start...you'll be more tired at the end of the day.

    I am having trouble sleeping also, so i guess we are in the same situation..

    Ive came up with an idea that helps me sometimes..

    You could try Warm milk that makes you sleepy!

  10. same wit me (not the weed part doe) but u can take a shower or bath and then try 2 go to sleep or if the cold makes u sleepy then sleep wit covers on with a fan or somethin on but if heat makes u sleepy then juz wrap ur self non stop in covers and blankets

  11. try to play a video game, read a book, or watch t.v. Also try to get up earlier.  

  12. i would just take some advil pm or something it usually works for me i take 2 and it helps me get to sleep pretty fast

  13. reading always gets me sleepy :) or watching some tv before bed. the human body also gets drowsy after eating a big meal. you could always take some safe sleeping pills too :)

  14. i always take two benedryls (not sure how to spell it, but alergy medicine) it works fast.

    Play some soft music

    Try sleeping in complete darkness. I do it and I go to sleep faster.


  16. theres an over the counter medicine thats called melatonin that you can get at cvs or somewhere like that, probably 3mg would be best take one and it will help you sleep, also you can try benadryl or just reading something boring n things like that

    (melatonin is the chemical in your brain that makes you sleep so im guessing the medicine melatonin increases those level which makes the medicine sound completely natural to me)
