Question:

I cant sleep, what should i do?

I know i wont fall asleep till 3 or 4 in the morning because today I woke up at 2pm, im horrible at sleeping the day time, (night owl) but can sleep forever during the day ( never wanting to wake up)

How can i change my habits? I know they suck.

  1. take niquil an hour before the time you'd like to go bed the first night. it should help you get back on track.


  2. Wow me and you are on the same page! Sometimes I don't fall asleep until like 6am..sad I know...what helped me is I would fall asleep around 5am and wake up at like 9 or 10...and by the end of the day u should feel tired...u shud continue you this until u start going to bed/waking up normal

  4. There is a hormone released by the brain,called melatonin that triggers your sleep pattern. The hormone is released at the same time every night. Melatonin is sold over-the-counter as a dietary supplement. So if taken over a period of time it will help start a better sleep pattern.

  6. The only time I go to sleep at 3 or 4 in the morning is if I choose to do so. And that isn't to say that i'm not incredibly tired at that time. The best thing to do is lay down in your bed from 10pm-12am (or your desired time, just make sure it's at least before or at midnight), and even if your not tired, just lay there until you do fall asleep. Or try reading a book or magazine right before sleeping. This is what I do on seemingly sleepless nights, yet I still wake up at reasonable times with the help of an alarm clock or not. (I usually wake up at: 8am weekdays, 9-10am weekends). The latest i've ever woken up was at 12 noon when I was *cough* sick *cough*

  7. I have no idea but I'm the same yesterday I woke up at 2 pm and I didn't go to sleep til like 12 noon the next day! I hate it because then I am sleepy all day but I can't go to sleep because if I do I won't be able to sleep that night!!!

  8. Well actually if you were able to smoke Marijuana it could help "insomnia". It also helps depression, and eating disorders. I smoke because I too have the same patterns as you and I am able to sleep normally again.
