  1. Exercise earlier in the day, avoid caffeinated drinks, candy or any type of sugary food(it makes some people hyper).


  2. Try drinking milk or eating rice before going to bed, both contain melatonin, a natural sleeping aid, which help you sleep better. From http://nosleep.in


  3. Make sure you are not drinking diet coke or coffee after 5:00 pm or anything that has caffiene in it.  also, be aware of what you eat or drink later on in the evening.  If you are awake and cant sleep for several nights then maybe it is time for you to consult your doctor.

  4. Don't drink caffeine after about 4 or 5p.m.

    Do something calming the hour or two before bedtime, like taking a bath, reading, or just relaxing on the couch.

    When I can't get to sleep, I sing a song in my head that I know very well. . . so I guess I sing myself a lullaby.

    I used to have to sleep with my door open, and now I can't sleep unless it's closed.

    Also, make sure it is completely silent in your bedroom.

    Try to clear your mind of anything that could be worrying you.

    Concentrate on each section of your body relaxing, starting with your toes.

  7. Warm milk, or pasta, they have something in it that make people sleeping. Or drink until you pass out.

  8. I drink milk, or eat something that has tryptophan in it like turkey. Read or do something creative for awhile. Lay off of the caffeine and sugars. If you're of age have a beer.
