I can't be entirely sure, but I've heard that if you can't stick out your tongue then you have a brain tumor. My brother couldn't do it, and he had a brain tumor. Do some research first, I can't be sure!

it's called tongue tied speak with a doctor they can cut your frendulum and make it better.  they do it on babies all the time.  my grandson needed it done twice.  no big deal

My friend had that issue, there was something wrong with the tendons underneath his tongue. He had to get surgery. Now he can stick out his tongue.

If you think the tongue tie is causing any problems with your speech or eating, then you should see your GP but don't panic! There is no great urgency about having the condition treated.

Surgery used to be done often years ago but now they save the surgery for the bad cases.

If you can usually stick out your tongue but now you can't, you should go to a doctor to see what the matter is.  While I have never heard of serious problems starting this way, there are important nerves that control your tongue and they ought to be working right; if they aren't, there's a chance that something else isn't working right.
