I cant swallow my capsule for my eye..

well i have a chalazion on my eye lid aka (a lump on eyelid) and we went to the doctor and he gave me this eye stuff and these capsule called diclocil..

but the thing is normally when i get antibiotics i just open the capsule up and put it in juice but with these tablets i cant so i cut the end of them i know its wrong but i really need to take them.it nearly made me gag the awful taste... I just cant swallow them i need to take four of them a day..and i really need to take them..

i have tried all the tricks and what have but i just cant swallow tablets im so afraid.. because when i was young i chocked really bad and now i have to chew my food a million times before i swallow it and swallowing this capsule i just cant do it help me plz??

my parents think im a woos but i cant help it i just cant make it go down..

  1. Try putting the pill in a spoonful of icecream that will just slide down your throat and taste good.


  2. I know exactly what you are going though, I still have trouble swallowing tablets too. I am 50 , you are not a woos. What I do if they are tablets I crush them to a powder mix them in a little honey or peanut butter on a spoon and take it from a spoon it helps disguise the bad taste.

    It works for me. What ever tip you try I hope you find the one that works for you


  3. just swallow the pill it will go to it's needed part cause if they wanted them in the eye they would have given you eye drops so think !

  4. Diclocil also comes in liquid form.  Contact your doctor and ask for the prescription to be changed to liquid.  More than likely it comes in cherry, grape, and bubblegum!  It is an antibiotic like penicillin so if you have ever had a reaction, make sure the doc knows that.

  5. Try to powder the tablet and dissolved in water then drink it.
