I cant think of the name of the movie or any of the actors names in ti but i can give the plot?

Question

It's the movie where theres the smart rich kid (whose mom wants him to goto college and make something of himself but want to goto london for a writers class er something.) and his best friend ( who isnt so rich) had to barrow money from some not so nice ppl at their high school and when he cant pay it back the not so nice group is out to get him.

the group of not so nice ppl has a "bad girl" and she likes to steal things which is where she gets the money to loan to ppl at school she gets caught and thinks it is the boys (guy who cant pay her back) fault. and he thinking his best friend (smart rich guy) is in london says it was his fault. the girl and her gang then set out to hurt the smart guy and wind up almost killing him (they think he's dead). the smart rich boy is now walking around in a ghostly state trying to get the girl to tell the cops what she has done so they will find his body and save his life. while walking in this ghostly state he finds out why she is the way she is and sees she isn't all bad and tough he falls in love with her and as his time is running out she saves him getting herself killed

the invisible. it was a great movie. it didn't really have any known stars in it except marsha mason as the mom and i'm old so that's why i know who she is. i stumbled on this movie late one night and it's one of my favorites.
