I cant view the pictures i have saved on my computer?

i was trying to upload some pictures on a website and clicked browse and then my documents then i clicked my pictures then i clicked on the folder i wanted to view and nothing came up... why???

a) theres nothing there

b) they aren't in the right file format.

The site must be down, thats what happend on my wordpress blog!

when you browse there is another bar under the filename.  if you change it to another format, there will be others to choose from, and it may be in there.
