Question:

I cant watch local channels on my hdtv i can get cable channels but local says signal strenght too low

ok one thing ive noticed is local channels have a thing on the bottom that says digital and cable channels have analog. im guessing that it has something to do with digital signal if so is there anyway i can just watch regular channels in analogthank you very much for ur help

  1. First thing you need is a OTA antenna which will allow you to pickup local digital and analog channels.  Then you will simply run the coaxial from the antenna into the coaxial on the back of the tv.  Go into the tv's menu and switch from cable to antenna and BAM you've got HD.

    If you want to keep your cable and antenna hooked up together you are going to need a signal switch (5 bucks, Wal-Mart).
